Spine now plays straight to your Sonos

When you walk up to Spine and pick an album, Apple Music plays straight away. Spotify and Tidal have always asked for one more tap on your phone. That's down to how those services work, and it always felt like a step too many.

If you have a Sonos, that step is gone. Tap an album on Spine and it plays straight to your Sonos, no phone tap at all. It works with Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal.

What your home needs: a Sonos on the same Wi-Fi as Spine, with a paid music plan added in the Sonos app. You pick your Sonos once in the Spine Music app.

Spine talks to your Sonos over the connection Sonos has used for years. We've also tested its newer one, and all three services play over that too, so we have a second route if the first ever changes. If neither worked (which is unlikely), Spine falls back to the phone tap, so nothing stops working.

It'll be in the software every Spine ships with.
