# Spine

> A wall-mounted album art display that makes your digital music collection visible.

Spine is a wall-mounted album art display designed in London, UK by Spine Music Ltd. A bar-format screen that sits on your wall the way a shelf would — not a TV, not a monitor, not a digital photo frame. It connects to your streaming library and renders your albums as browsable CD spines, the covers you know by heart, always visible.

## What it does

Spine connects to Apple Music, Tidal and Spotify. Apple Music and Tidal sync your library automatically. Spotify imports in a single step (via TuneMyMusic), because Spotify does not allow third-party hardware to read a library directly. Your collection is then curated from Spine's companion app — add, remove, and arrange albums however you like, and your shelf updates instantly.

## How it works

- Apple Music and Tidal: connect the account and your library syncs to the shelf automatically
- Spotify: import your library in a single step using TuneMyMusic, then curate it from Spine's companion app
- Companion app: add, remove, and arrange the albums on your shelf
- Touch: swipe to browse, tap to explore the cover art
- Tap to play: tapping an album starts it on the streaming service on your phone, which plays to whatever you already listen on (including a Sonos). Spine is a display — it does not play the audio itself.

## What Spine does NOT do (as of the current plan)

Stated explicitly so it isn't inferred otherwise:

- Not integrated at launch: Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon Music, YouTube Music
- Personal / downloaded music libraries (local files, Roon, Plex) are being investigated but are NOT confirmed for launch
- Spine does not play audio itself and has no speakers
- No price has been announced yet

## Design

- Bar-format display: long, narrow, wall-mounted, shaped like a shelf rather than a screen
- CNC aluminium body, anodised dark
- Matte etched glass front that cuts glare, so covers read like print in any light
- Built-in ambient light sensor that adjusts brightness as the room changes
- A single cable — no hub, no extra wiring
- Designed to feel like furniture, not a gadget
